Long Range Acoustical Device (LRAD)

Construction: The LRAD is a non-lethal acoustic weapon used to issue verbal warnings and deterrent tones. The client was interested in reducing the weight of the device to make it light enough for a soldier to carry, and worked with CCTI to develop a carbon fiber prototype.

 

Acheivement: CCTI reduced the weight of the device from the LRAD’s original 75 pounds to 14 pounds with carbon fiber prototype.
