Custom Boarding Ladder for S/V Dragonera

Project Description: Carbon fiber, teak covered folding boarding ladder

 

Execution: There were no plans or drawings provided for this custom project. CCTI President Steve Hassett utilized the existing aluminum ladder to get the appropriate size and dimensions needed and went from there. Carbon fiber was layed up with epoxy and then covered with a teak veneer to give the desired look that the owner wanted. There was a tremendous amount of time and detail that went into design, cutting the holes, fitting the teak, and adjusting the ladder to fold fluidly.
