Aluminum Honeycomb Conference Table

Project Description: 15’x5’ Panelized Glass Table with Aluminum Honeycomb Core

 

Construction: Waterjet cut glass. Using pre-made aluminum frames, honeycomb we bonded to all the plates of glass and followed up by laminating 30,000th skin of clear fiberglass to underside of aluminum honeycomb.

A crystal clear epoxy resin was used.

 

Execution: Several test panels and considerable research was conducted to determine the best combination of non-yellowing resin with clear fiberglass to achieve the clear, transparent look of the table.
