Custom Composite Lift Assembly

Client: Vestas-American Wind Technology, Inc., Portland, Oregon

When Vestas-American Wind asked CCTI to build a custom lift assembly for installing the blades on their turbines, we were excited to be working with the world leader in wind power solutions. They gave us their design specifications—and six weeks to build five units. We did all the sourcing to meet the specs, which in addition to the composite structure included a blade-conforming rubber cushion and removable wheels for portability on-site.
